Halton’s Story
My name is Halton, I started Chapter because I felt that students attending university today might not have been given the same chances as those in the past. I moved across the country, took a huge gamble, and went all in on a belief that student living could be better.
Too many students are forced into only one of two: dorms that can feel restrictive, or apartments that make life harder and lonelier. I wanted to build something different — a place that gives students more freedom, more privacy, more community, and a real shot to focus on building their future.
Chapter came from that idea. If students are going to chase their next chapter, they should live somewhere that helps them feel like they'll actually be able to write it.
The Chapter way
1. No Compromises
You shouldn’t have to choose between comfort, convenience, and community.
You can always have it all.
2. You can always focus on what matters
Your time is too valuable to waste on chores.
3. One place for everything
All the things you need, under one roof.
The old way is broken
Dorms were built for a different time.
Hundreds of people in one building. Rules for EVERYTHING.
Apartments promised independence.
But then you spend your time buying furniture, cleaning dishes, and figuring out what to eat. You didn’t come to college to do chores.
Chapter was written differently.
Spaces to study, relax, and be with your people, all in one house.
Meals ready ✅, cleaning done ✅, all powered by our partnership with Hendrick House.
So you can focus on what you actually came to college to do…📈
